We have recently upgraded our equipment and software at 360 Virtual View. This brings new data capture features directly to architects, engineers, and construction teams.

LiDAR Scanning and AI Defurnishing Our new Matterport camera uses LiDAR technology. This makes it highly accurate and perfectly suited for external site scans. We also now offer an AI de-furnishing tool within the Matterport tours. This feature digitally removes all furniture and non-fixed items from the 3D scan. This leaves a completely empty room, so you see the pure layout of a property without visual clutter.

Engineering and Construction Data Packages We now provide specific data exports tailored for your design and construction software:

• E57 Files: This is a high-density, vendor-neutral point cloud. It contains immense spatial detail and works seamlessly for precise 3D modelling in Autodesk ReCap, Revit, Archicad, and Rhino.
• BIM Files: We provide complete as-built models (.RVT, .IFC, .DWG) built specifically for Autodesk Revit. This eliminates the manual process of converting point clouds yourself.
• CAD Files: Standard 2D AutoCAD drawings (.DWG) generated directly from the captured spatial data.
• MatterPak: A data package for third-party software including a colourised point cloud (.XYZ), a 3D mesh file (.OBJ) with texture maps, and a reflected ceiling plan.
• Construction Integrations: Direct links to platforms like Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud. This helps construction teams pin RFIs and site observations directly into the 3D model.
• TruePlan for Xactimate: .SKX files specifically for estimators and restoration contractors to create highly accurate estimates for insurance claims and property loss scoping.
• Media Assets: Google Street View integration for public navigation, and Advanced Imagery Packs for high-resolution panoramic image downloads.

Enhanced Floor Plans Alongside standard schematics, our floor plan services now include:

• 3D floor plans in full colour, available with or without furniture.
• 3D video render walkthroughs.
• Gross Living Area reports measured to the ANSI Z765 standard.

Mobile LiDAR with the Eagle Max RTK

For large-scale environments, we now operate the Eagle Max with RTK. Instead of setting up static tripods across a site, we simply walk through the space to capture data continuously. This maps complex buildings and outdoor terrain in a fraction of the usual time.

• Absolute geographical accuracy: The RTK module connects to satellite positioning systems. This anchors your 3D scan to real-world coordinates with 1 to 3 centimetre accuracy. Your model aligns perfectly with map grids for accurate site planning.
• High-fidelity visual reference: The scanner uses four 48-megapixel cameras to capture realistic colour and texture. Your design team gets an accurate structural model that looks exactly like the real environment.
• Direct CAD and BIM integration: The resulting point clouds export as standard PLY or OBJ files. These load directly into Revit, AutoCAD, or Archicad so you start designing immediately from perfect as-built conditions.
