Case Study – University of Sheffield

Sir Robert Hadfield Building, Mappin St, Sheffield, S1

We were approached by the University of Sheffield to create an interactive virtual tour & 360 degree images for the Sir Robert Hadfield Building (Mappin St, Sheffield City Centre, Sheffield S1 3JD) on behalf of the Department of Materials, Science & Engineering. We also produced a suite of HDR JPG images and 360 degree images

This virtual tour was required:

  • To help students navigate around this building which is set over several floors, for example, find lecture theatres or Student Services
  • To allow visitors, students to explore areas of the building which may be unsafe to visit in person such as the Quarrell Laboratory
  • To help promote the Glass Museum to the public
  • To help attract new students from anywhere in the world by allowing them to see & explore where they’ll be studying when they’re not able to visit person
